Alan's Corner
You've reached the portion of the site devoted to my writing and speaking. I am a pastor's husband, which gives me an interesting (different from most) perspective to observe and comment on church life. I am married to Laurie, father to Brady (a ministry all by itself), and also actively involved in ministry alongside my wife at Lodge Forest UMC in Baltimore. I enjoy writing and work at NASA Goddard as a writer/editor. I also have a deep passion and interest in matters relating to church life and theology, especially discipleship and spiritual formation. I am a certified Lay Speaker in the United Methodist Church meaning I am eligible to speak at any United Methodist church in the Baltimore/Washington Conference.
